Your 5-Minute Rebellion: The Gratitude Jar

Hey Reader,

As the year winds down, it’s easy to focus on what didn’t happen — the unfinished goals, the messy moments, the unexpected detours. But before you step into the new year, take five minutes to honor everything that did happen — the strength, the lessons, the small joys that carried you through.

The 5-Minute Gratitude Jar

This Week’s Rebellion:

Your 5-Minute Gratitude Jar

Grab a jar, bowl, or even a small box.

On slips of paper, write down the things you’re grateful for from this year — big or small.

Maybe it’s:

  • A friendship that deepened when you needed it most
  • A moment you spoke up for yourself
  • A time you really got to rest

Add each note to your jar as a quiet thank-you to the year that shaped you.

You can even make it a ritual — light a candle, play music, and let gratitude soften the edges of the year.

Why It’s Rebellious

Because reflection isn’t about what you didn’t do or what you need to change. It’s about remembering the journey and who you became in the process.

This week, rebel with gratitude. You’ve come further than you think.

Welcome to The Joyful Rebellion! Because setting boundaries, resting well, and building healthier systems is radical. 🧪What's New In the Lab Last month, I had the honor of facilitating a public health ethics training with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Ethics Advisory Committee. We spent time grounding ourselves in a foundational (and often overlooked) question: What do we value, and how do those values show up in our organizations? Ethical analysis isn’t just about policies,...
