Your 5-Minute Rebellion: Seasonal Reset

Hey Reader,

The holidays bring a flood of invites, traditions, and unspoken expectations. Before the season sweeps you up, take five minutes to make a list of things you don’t want to do this year — the events, obligations, or habits that no longer feel aligned.

Think of it as your permission slip to create space for what actually feels nourishing.

Seasonal Reset

This Week's Rebellion:

Take five minutes today to pause and ask yourself:
“Where can I release what’s no longer serving me as I move into a new season?”

Maybe it’s:

  • A habit that’s been draining your energy
  • A thought loop that keeps you stuck in the past
  • A space in your home that feels cluttered or heavy

Jot down one thing you’re ready to let go of — and one small way you can honor the new energy coming in.

Light a candle, take a walk, or simply breathe deeply as a way of saying, I’m ready for what’s next.

Why It’s Rebellious
Because in a world that glorifies constant doing, choosing to slow down, reflect, and reset is a radical act of self-trust.

This week, rebel by releasing. Make space for the softer, wiser version of you waiting just beneath the noise.

Welcome to The Joyful Rebellion! Because setting boundaries, resting well, and building healthier systems is radical. 🧪What's New In the Lab January has been so full! A highlight was attending the first Under the Sun Chat of 2026 with Amplify Women Tampa Bay featuring Jennifer Addabbo, Co-founder and CEO of Engage fi. I loved so much about the conversation but more than that, I enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other women leaders and changemakers, including some of my book club...

Welcome to The Joyful Rebellion! Because setting boundaries, resting well, and building healthier systems is radical. 🧪What's New In the Lab Welcome back! I don't know about you, but I am feeling excited for the start of a new year. I’m easing into 2026 with intention: less urgency, more alignment, and a deeper commitment to building spaces where we can think, rest, and lead differently. I've spent the past few weeks reflecting on what worked - and what didn't - in 2025, mapping out a...

Welcome to The Joyful Rebellion! Because setting boundaries, resting well, and building healthier systems is radical. 🧪What's New In the Lab Several years ago, I got in the habit of taking off the two weeks surrounding Christmas and New Year's. It was a slower time in my field, and working added unnecessarily to the chaos of shopping, cooking, socializing, and everything the holiday brings. Today, I still choose to give myself the gift of rest and peace, slowing the pace even just a bit to...
