The Joyful Rebellion: Rest, Recharge, and Reset for 2026
Published 4 months ago • 3 min read
Welcome to The Joyful Rebellion!
Because setting boundaries, resting well, and building healthier systems is radical.
🧪What's New In the Lab
This week, I'm headed to Atlanta where I'll be leading wellness activities at a leadership retreat, and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's a space to encourage leaders to explore the importance of play, rest, and other forms of self-care in this incredibly busy season.
When I return home, I’m intentionally slowing down myself, to prepare for the work that matters in 2026. Rest is the reset that sharpens our purpose. Reflection is strategy. Recharging is leadership.
The picture below is from DisruptHR Tampa. I really enjoyed my first Disrupt event, hearing a dynamic group of speakers talk about human-centered workplaces. Plus all proceeds benefited Feeding Tampa Bay, which has a mission to create flourishing communities through trailblazing, people-focused solutions that dismantle barriers and disrupt ineffective systems. Consider donating to help families in need this holiday season.

In the post, I unpack the boundaries we navigate around participation, belonging, and authenticity, and how we can rethink celebration in more inclusive, human-centered ways.

As a thank-you for being part of our inner circle, you’ll have access to tiered rewards such as:

🌞 Affirmation of the Week

💫 Closing Reflection
As this year winds down, consider what you want to carry into the next one and what you’re finally ready to set down. Boundaries are guideposts for the life you’re building. Let your rest be intentional. Let your joy be non-negotiable. And let your courage lead you into 2026 with clarity, ease, and a renewed sense of self.
If your team or organization is moving through a season of change or simply needs a grounded, human-centered reset, I’m currently booking leadership retreats and workshops centered on change management, ethical leadership, and wellbeing.

Welcome to The Joyful Rebellion! Because setting boundaries, resting well, and building healthier systems is radical. 🧪What's New In the Lab Last month, I had the honor of facilitating a public health ethics training with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Ethics Advisory Committee. We spent time grounding ourselves in a foundational (and often overlooked) question: What do we value, and how do those values show up in our organizations? Ethical analysis isn’t just about policies,...
